Z-Bolt Blazer LED & LEP Lights — 315,000 Candela Blasters!

Without a doubt, Z-Bolt makes some of the finest lights in the industry. I was first introduced to them at a FISH Class offered by Garry Marr of Tremis Dynamics. When I tell you they are leaps and bounds better than the competition, that’s an understatement.

Now, that’s not to downplay a tried-and-true SureFire Scout, Modlite, Cloud Defensive, or other high-quality brands. It’s merely the fact that if you want a focused white light that will reach out and touch things at insane distances, then a Z-Bolt LED light (whether a hand held flashlight or an LED weapon light) is the way to go.

Being someone who is outside at night on a regular basis, having the ability to light up areas and things I need to focus on is important to me. Whether it’s a walk at night, a hike in the woods, or securing my property, I need the ability to turn night into day instantly.

Not only that, but having the ability to blast through photonic barriers such as headlights and streetlights is pretty mind-boggling. The candela rating on a Z-Bolt light is astronomical compared to the competition, who has a hard time getting up to 80,000 candela. But Z-Bolt made some big changes and has taken over long range capabilities, making their lights basically laser beams.

You have everything from a very small EDC flashlight with a Thyrm low profile pocket clip that throws out an insane 315,000 candela to a bigger weapon-mounted light that also launches 315,000 candela.

Overall, the Z-Bolt Blazer has a light head featuring LEP technology capable of projecting a beam up to 1,100 meters distance. My curiosity encouraged me to test this flashlight thoroughly and I was not let down.

What distinguishes the Z-Bolt Blazer is not only its claim but its performance. Outfitted with Laser Excited Phosphor (LEP) technology, Z-Bolt claims it can deliver an impressive 315,000 Candela output for unmatched visibility over long distances, this flashlight has reshaped my understanding of what it means to lighten the night fearlessly.

That being the case, it should go without saying, but a Z-Bolt light is not eye-safe (but that makes it a great option for self-defense).

Let’s dive into what makes the Z-Bolt such an amazing brand that can light up any darkness in your world with ease.

Disclaimer: This article is my opinion of Z-Bolt lights. I was not given a light by Z-Bolt, nor did they pay me to write this article. In fact, they probably don’t even know I wrote this review of their products. That said, I was provided lights from a friend of mine who was nice enough to allow me to do some testing. I hope you like the review.

Key Takeaways

  • The Z-Bolt Blazer can light up areas far away, even more than 300 meters (which is quite simple with the light). It’s strong and made to last long on one charge.
  • It’s not heavy and fits well in your hand, making it easy to carry around. You can also attach it to weapons such as a rifle or shotgun (which I’m not sure why you’d need a light that powerful on a shotgun, but you do, you boo).
  • This flashlight helps you see clearly in the dark, I was able to take it up to 600 meters away. Such a powerful light makes spotting danger at distance easier.
  • A bright light from the Z-Bolt can confuse and disorient anyone trying to harm you. This keeps you safer by giving you a chance to get away or defend yourself if need be.
  • With different prices from $88 to $398, there is a Z-Bolt light for everyone’s budget.

Understanding the Z-Bolt Blazer LED & LEP Technology

The Z-Bolt Blazer LED & LEP technology is cutting-edge. It revolutionizes illumination for self-defense enthusiasts and even those in law enforcement who are out there keeping us safe.

The LED offers high-intensity light, perfect for tactical use. Best of all, you can either purchase a complete light, light bodies, tailcaps, and even swap out an LEP head.

Key features and functionalities of Z-Bolt Electro-Optics

I got my hands on the Z-Bolt Blazer LED & LEP light recently. Here’s what stood out to me:

  1. These lights can reach more than 300 meters without help. This means I can see things far away in the dark.
  2. With optics, like a scope, they work even better — up to 600 meters for identifying threats.
  3. They last a long time on a single charge — 150 minutes with an 18650 battery and 90 minutes using two CR123A batteries.
  4. They’re not heavy, just 213 grams with the bigger battery inside. This makes carrying them easy.
  5. The batteries are powerful: one 18650 battery at 3.7V and 3500 mAh or two CR123A batteries at 1500 mAh each.
  6. Made from T6061 anodized aluminum alloy, these lights are tough. They can handle rough use without breaking.
  7. Their high-intensity light can blind threats temporarily, making it easier to stay safe.
  8. These lights fit well in your hand or attached to weapons because of their smart design and size.

Using this Z-Bolt light has changed how I approach safety in dark areas. It’s reliable and strong, exactly what someone needs for self-defense or everyday carry (EDC).

Advantages of Z-Bolt Blazer LEP in Threat Identification

Z-Bolt Blazer provides enhanced visibility and helps distinguish targets effectively, thereby aiding in threat identification. The high-intensity light feature can be used to disorient potential threats, enhancing safety.

Enhanced visibility and target distinction

I found out the Blazer LEP light makes seeing things far away much easier. It lets me see up to 300 meters without help and 600 meters with some aid. This is huge for spotting dangers before they get too close.

Plus, the LED option lights up a wide area around me, making sure I don’t miss anything in my peripheral vision.

I also use the “Hot Spot & Fill” diffuser on the Blazer LEP, which lets me change the beam shape from narrow to wide. This flexibility means I can adjust the light based on what I need at that moment — whether it’s lighting up an entire room or focusing on something far off.

The first time I switched between these modes in a dark field, it was like day and night; everything became clear and easy to distinguish.

When I first saw and was able to play with the Z-Bolt Blazer, it was in a shoot house. I was worried that the insane candela would blind not only a threat but myself as well. But with the diffuser attached, it was great at lighting up the room while still having a good hot spot to direct onto a threat.

Tactical Use of a Z-Bolt® Blinding LED Light for Safety

Utilize high-intensity light to disorient potential threats, improving your safety in critical situations. The blinding effect can provide a tactical advantage by creating temporary confusion for anyone threatening your safety.

Utilizing a high candela and high-intensity light to disorient potential threats

I found out that shining a very bright light can confuse someone who might want to harm me. This trick is unbeatable, especially with something like the Z-Bolt Blazer. It’s made for this exact situation.

The light from this device is so powerful it can mess up a threat’s vision for a bit. Imagine trying to focus when someone flashes a camera in your eyes—that’s the idea here.

The BLAZER Zero Picatinny Mount makes it easy to attach this mighty light to places where I need it most, keeping me safe. With prices between $88 and $398, there’s a light option for every budget.

That all being said, this isn’t just any light; we’re talking about high-intensity beams designed to give me an edge in potentially dangerous situations. Keeping one of these handy means, I’m always ready, whether walking home at night or checking strange noises downstairs.
