What Really Happens at the Will to Win Method Events
I want to preface this review by saying this is completely my opinion and feelings based off of my experience at the Robert Herjavec “Will to Win Method” event. The Will to Win Method event was FREE and while many will tell me to stop complaining since it was free, I would be doing you all a disservice by not explaining what you would be walking into if you took the time out of your schedule to sign up for this event.
For starters, there was a total of 22 people at the event I went to and of those 22, only seven owned their own business. The marketing surrounding the Will to Win Method event talked about how you can use the same methods Robert used to become successful as a business owner and entrepreneur. On the website, it states that the event is “mirroring Robert’s tried-and-true business philosophy.” With that being said, let’s dive into what actually took place at the Will to Win Method event.

I Thought This Was the Will to Win Methods? I Didn’t Sign Up for THIS
After being ushered into the event, I was told to sit in the front row (oh boy, it’s like I’m back in school and the teacher wants me to sit front and center). I was ready to take notes and anxious to see what the speakers had to say. Now, mind you, Robert was not present at this event even though his name is on the event and all marketing.
There were two speakers we were told who was going to go over the Will to Win Method used by “thousands” to achieve success in business and entrepreneurship. I’ll refrain from using their names in this review as I have no ill will towards them, they both did a great presentation for what they were told to speak about.
For Real (Estate)?
The first presentation was from a rich millionaire from Orange County, CA who was heavily into real estate. He retired (at a young age) and Robert pulled him out of retirement to help him with his Will to Win Method events – ultimately flying him all across the US to speak. This gentleman was very persuasive, a good talker, and had a sense of humor. However, that was about as far as the positive talk goes regarding the event.
This first speaker dove right into how important it is to invest in real estate. Now, if you read Robert’s book, Will to Win Method, he doesn’t even discuss real estate. So, why was it part of his event named the exact same thing which was supposed to be a play off of his book and methods? I was all sorts of confused.
I sat there thinking he couldn’t possibly talk about this for over an hour, right? Wrong. He went for an hour and 15 minutes. What did he say? Ultimately, join our team and we will help you get rich. It was an hour and 15 minutes of an entire sales pitch. I was in a never-ending sales funnel the whole time I was at the event. It actually disturbs me that Robert would put his name on this event and put this on when the event brought ZERO value. For an hour and 15 minutes, we were told that if you want to take advantage of their methods and resources that we were to go to another event next week to get access to all of these real estate tools. The cost of this was around $4,000 and they discounted it down to around $1,200.
Do you want to know how much money people who joined their team made? No, I’m asking you because I have no idea since they never mentioned such. So, let me get this straight, business owners always want to know how much money something will make them, not necessarily the cost of it. Because if the return is more than the cost, it’s a no-brainer. But they gave no figures mentioning the average amount that people make who “join their team.” This is a huge mistake on their part or smart if no one is actually making money other than them from the Will to Win Method.
They then had a brief eight-minute break where they allowed people to ask questions and sign up. Gee, thanks. Personally, I used the time to network with people to mutually help them grow my business as well as theirs. During that time, I also spoke one-on-one with the speaker and mentioned everything he presented was very similar to what Grant Cardone talks about with his Cardone Capital which I asked if he was a part of that – he said yes. Hmm… interesting.
This makes me wonder if all of these people are working together to build a huge book of business in real estate buying up everything they can and using all of us as pawns to grow their wealth. This wasn’t about us necessarily becoming successful, it seems more like a byproduct of making a little money off of making these people rich. I’m not dumb and am well-educated on these types of events and business models and that honestly seems like the path all of this is going.
So far, I feel like the event is one big scam as do the other business owners who were in the room (some even left as soon as the first speaker was done – that’s how frustrated they were for having their time wasted). The Will to Win Method seemed nothing more than a bait and switch from what we all thought we were getting ourselves into when we first signed up. On to the next speaker.
Grow Your Business FAST — Through FBA?
The second speaker to get up in front of us at the Will to Win Method event mentioned he was going to share some secrets on how to fast-track your business using social media, ads, marketing techniques, etc. FINALLY, I thought. We are getting something useful. But I was wrong again.
He went over basic numbers on how many people are on social media and how important it is to use it when trying to grow your business and build a list of prospects and clients. He moved quickly through those slides and asked if we would be interested in making a ton of money from our homes by putting in next to no work. He said on this side you have a business that runs itself and on the other side is us doing whatever we wanted to do like having fun or goofing off. Even saying that it’s what Robert does (goofing off every day). Interesting. Everyone seemed interested except for the business owners in the room. I knew what was coming next was another sales pitch for a program and a never-ending funnel.
BINGO! I was right. Have you ever heard of FBA? It’s fulfillment by Amazon. Sure, tons of people are using it, but I don’t consider that a true business. It’s essentially retail arbitrage. You buy other people’s products and sell them on various platforms like Craigslist, eBay, Facebook Marketplace, and of course… Amazon for a profit.
For another hour we were worked through the funnel of how “simple” it is to buy products from someone (they used an example of a stainless-steel cup) and use FBA to make a bunch of money. It’s so simple… all you had to do was go to their seminar next week about it for a couple grand. But wait! If you sign up for the real estate workshop next week, you’ll get a discounted price on the “entrepreneur workshop” and only need to pay $1,000. At this point, I wanted to put my head through a wall. This whole event was total bullshit and added no value. It was a tease to get you to spend money on their workshops.
The Will to Win Method Event Was a Waste of Time
By the time we all got out of there, we invested around two hours and 45 minutes of our own time. For me, that’s a lot of money I could have made working with clients during that timeframe to grow my business and my clients’.
The Will to Win Method event was nothing more than one big sales funnel to get you to pay for their other workshops. Look, I get it. You have an ask at all free events. But generally, your goal is to add value so that people will want to sign up and work with you. There was NO VALUE AT ALL FROM THE WILL TO WIN METHOD EVENT. None! I didn’t learn a single thing.
And because I was answering many of the questions the speakers asked us and they even used my business and experience as examples, many people came up to me and asked me my thoughts on if they should sign up for the program. I told them I’m not about to tell them what they should or shouldn’t do with their money, but that I was not going to be signing up for any of their Will to Win Method workshops – and it had nothing to do with the money.
Will to Win Method was one gigantic ASK. Does this sound good? Find out how by signing up for our workshop. Do you want to make more money? Sign up for our workshop. Do you want the ability to use these proprietary tools and resources? Sign up for our workshop.
Listen, I hope you guys can appreciate this for those who follow my work. I provide nothing but FREE VALUE to you guys through my content. Once every few months I might bring up my books I have published for sale (which the cost is anywhere from $2.99 to $9.99). I’m not charging you thousands of dollars for you to better your skills to make more money or grow your business. You see the free value I bring and many of you I’m sure think to yourself that “if Matt brings this much free value, he must really bring it hardcore in his products he sells.” That answer is ABSOLUTELY.
I’m not here to tell you that you should or shouldn’t go to the Will to Win Method event. That’s for you to decide yourself. But I wanted to make you aware that it is not what the marketing behind it says it is. You will be sold (hard) at the Will to Win Method events. There are many other reviews out there just like mine. And I wish I would have seen them before I signed up for this event as I definitely would not have gone and wasted my time.
Hopefully, you got something out of this review of the Will to Win Method event and it helped paint a better picture of what this event is really like. I feel deceived and quite frankly, I lost a lot of respect for Robert. I could see some scumbags out there looking to use and abuse uneducated individuals who are easily coerced into doing stupid things in an effort to make money, but for someone like Robert Herjavec to put his name on this really bothers me.
