myCharge HubPlus Charger: Worth the Money?
Being that I’m a writer, I enjoy the fact that I can write content and copy from literally anywhere I want. This means I could write in the woods, at the beach, a coffee shop, wherever. The fact that I have the ability to be mobile helps keep ideas fresh and allows me to be creative. With that being said, my creativity comes to a screeching halt when my battery dies. If I’m working off of my iPhone or iPad, there’s no guarantee that where I am is going to have an open outlet or even an outlet at all depending on my location. That’s where a portable charger like the myCharge HubPlus comes into play.
Who is the myCharge HubPlus For?
- Hikers
- Campers
- Travelers
- Mobile business people
- Those who use their devices heavily
- Preppers
- Anyone looking to keep their devices charged
Details on the myCharge HubPlus
The myCharge HubPlus is a 6700mAh portable charger. It comes with two integrated cables to charge your iPhone via the lightning cable or a device that takes a micro-USB. Not only is this extremely useful but the device also has a USB slot as well where you can charge another device which gives you the ability to charge up to three devices at the same time. The myCharge HubPlus comes with built-in charging prongs that allow you to simply plug this device into an outlet to charge it back up (it can recharge itself 50% faster than the competitors on the market).
With the amount of power you have in this small portable charger, you can charge your phone battery up to four times (depending on the actual device being charged). It has a hyper-charge capability that charges devices up to 65% faster than their competitors. If you want to use this charger as a backup, it can hold its charge for up to one full year which can make is a charge it and forget it lifesaver down the road.
The dimensions are 4.1 in x 2.5 in x 0.9 in and weights only 0.5 lbs.
Pros
- extremely quick charging
- cables are part of the design so you don’t need to carry your phone/tablet cables with you to charge your device
- prongs allow the myCharge HubPlus to be charged without the need for additional cables
- cables secure within the body of the device so you don’t have cords dangling everywhere
- lightweight design
- easy to use
- simple to pack in any bag
- 4 lights on the device show how much power you have remaining in your myCharge HubPlus
Cons
- Cables on the device are only around 3 inches long
As you can see, there isn’t much you can complain about with the myCharge HubPlus portable charger. Personally, I’d like to see them come out with a new model where the cables wrap around the full outer edges of the device to lengthen the cords to plug in your phone or tablet. The way it is now works fine for if you are only looking to sit down your phone or tablet and charge it. If you have work to do it can be a pain trying to hold the phone while still holding onto the dangling myCharge HubPlus portable charger. A simple fix would be to make the cords longer as mentioned.
But again, that is being critical of the myCharge HubPlus. Yes, you can take the cord you use to charge your phone normally and plug it into the USB port, but if you’re going to have a lightning cable built-in, why not make it actually usable versus three inches long?
Overall, I’m sure most people will find it suits their needs extremely well. I’ve tried many different portable chargers and this one definitely ranks among my favorites. If you want to learn more about the myCharge HubPlus or purchase one for yourself or someone you know, please click here.
