2.    Orange and Rosemary Pork Chops

Another one of our healthy pork chop recipes is an orange and rosemary version. This recipe will provide you with a sweet-and-savory dish that you’ll be looking for seconds of. The marinate you make for this dish will send your taste buds into outer space. In advance, I’ll just say, “you’re welcome.”

Servings: 4

Ingredients:

4 4-5 oz boneless pork chops

2 tsp. finely shredded orange peel

1/2 cup orange juice

2 tbsp. snipped fresh rosemary (or 2 tsp. dried)

2 tbsp. Worcestershire marinade for chicken (yes, chicken)

1 tbsp. olive oil

1 tbsp. maple syrup

1/8 tsp. ground black pepper

Fresh rosemary sprigs (optional)

Directions:

  1. Grab a small bowl and pour in your shredded orange peel, rosemary, olive oil, pepper, maple syrup, and Worcestershire marinade. Mix it all together and then pour it into a large resealable plastic bag.
  2. Take your pork chops and place them inside the plastic bag and seal it.
  3. Ensure the bag is tightly sealed, then turn the bag end over end until the marinade completely coats all sides of the pork chops. Once thoroughly coated, place the entire bag in the refrigerator and let it sit for anywhere between 4-24 hours. Be sure to flip the bag every once in a while during that time period to help the marinade get into all parts of the pork chop.
  4. Preheat your grill to medium heat. Once it has reached temperature, place the pork chops on the grill. Cover and let sit for 20-24 minutes. Halfway through, you can brush more of the marinade onto the pork chops to help enhance the overall flavor.
  5. Remove from the grill when done, plate, add rosemary sprigs as a garnish if you wish, and enjoy!
