My Personal Experience with Grounding Mats
Now, for the part you’ve probably been wanting to find out… What is my experience with grounding mats, and what happened? First, I got the Hooga Grounding Mat. After doing research on them, I felt this one was the best choice according to my needs. Also, I’m not looking to spend a fortune on grounding mats to find out whether they work. The Hooga Grounding Mat wasn’t expensive, and I was prepared to toss it in the trash if I found it worthless.
So, how have I been using it, and what happened?
At night, I like to relax on the couch for 30-60 minutes and catch up on YouTube videos (educational, you know I hate wasting my time). While watching the videos, I laid my legs on the Hooga Grounding Mat for anywhere from 30-60 minutes and have been consistent with it every single night to give the product a fair shake.
I sleep like a rock, and I noticed the first few nights of use, I was finding it hard to sleep. While I definitely felt calmer and more relaxed after using it, I simply couldn’t fall asleep. Since then, my sleep has returned back to normal, so I can’t say for certain that the mat had anything to do with it, but the timing was definitely odd.

Grounding mats are incredibly easy to set up and use, in fact, I’m confident that even the lowest IQ individuals could plug it into the ground of an outlet and be just fine.
Here’s where things really started to change for me. After about a week of use, I started noticing I looked leaner. I checked my weight and body fat, and surprisingly, my lean muscle mass increased while my body fat decreased (and this was without making any changes to my nutrition or workouts).
Circling back to some of the research on grounding mats, it was shown that they can help improve weight loss by decreasing inflammation and cortisol levels in the body. If I were to guess, my body suffers from inflammation (probably like most of you reading this) due to stress, and that caused me to look “soft” or even somewhat “bloated” most of the time. That all has pretty much decreased, and I can tell in the mirror and how my clothes fit that there is a definite change other than the results of the body fat measurement.
I’m going to continue using the Hooga Grounding Mat each night and see what happens after months of use. But overall, I have nothing to complain about, and my worry about these mats being worthless has been lifted.
While I can’t say you’ll get the same experience through grounding mats or the Hooga Grounding Mat that I have, I’d say you really have nothing to lose by trying one. Clearly, everyone is different, and what works for me may not work for someone else, but I’m more than happy with the results I’ve seen in such a short period of time. It’s turned me into a believer.
