Dive Bar Nutrition Review: Bartender, Make It a Double!
You guys know I love my protein bars and trying new things. Well, I think I found pure gold. There’s a company called Dive Bar Nutrition that I was introduced to. It was created by a guy named Phil Capone who worked just about every job he could find, including playing in the seedy bars and clubs of Hollywood’s Sunset Strip. Capone is all tatted up and some might take a look at him and roll their eyes. But one thing they will never roll their eyes over are his bars. Dive Bar Nutrition legit has some of the best-tasting energy bars I’ve ever had — and unique flavors too! Here’s my Dive Bar Nutrition review.
This article (review) is my personal experience with Dive Bar Nutrition and my thoughts on their bars. If you’re in the market for a delicious-tasting protein bar, you’re going to want to stick around and learn more. Why? Because they’re absolutely delicious.
Disclaimer: This article is my opinion on the Dive Bar Nutrition protein bars. It is recommended that you speak with your doctor before making any changes to your nutrition program or supplementation.

Dive Bar Nutrition — I’ll Drink (or eat) to That
Not only are these bars delicious, but they also include ingredients like caffeine, taurine, vitamin B12, and potassium. The Dive Bar Nutrition bars all have 18 grams of protein per bar, mid-twenties for carbohydrates, 6 grams of fat, and 7 grams of fiber. The calories range anywhere from 220-240 (which is good in my opinion for a bar).
Now, I know the main thing you came to read in this Dive Bar Nutrition review… What do they taste like? My answer in one word… HEAVEN. These bars are soft, moist, and absolutely amazing. Some of you have read my article on it being fine to share your protein bar with your kids. In this case, I probably would refrain from doing so due to the caffeine content. While it’s only 90 mg, your kids don’t need to be taking in any more caffeine during the day (they are probably already taking in too much as is).
The flavors they have available are:
- Bunny Crap
- Divorce Cake
- Sea Salt Caramel Pretzel, Fool
- Trash Can Cookie
- Peanut, But Her Chocolate Chip
- Cookies ‘N’ Dreams
- Chocolate Chip Cookie Though
The bars are soft to chew which is a nice break from the many jaw-breakers on the market these days. The texture and consistency are similar to a soft cookie that just came out of the oven (only these bars aren’t warm). I like that the brand itself isn’t all uptight either. So many brands these days are trying to be all politically correct and conform to Corporate America, and then you have Dive Bar Nutrition with things like Bunny Crap bars and Divorce Cake. Maybe I’m odd, but those little things make me appreciate a brand. For instance, the Dive Bar Nutrition Trash Can Cookie description on their website says (and you’ll love this if you’re from Pittsburgh).
“Toffee, candy shell covered chocolates, chocolate chips, and peanut butter out your… TRASH! With nutrients in there too because yinz got enough friggin problems. A Pittsburgh classic. Now available in ‘healthy’.”
Dive Bar Nutrition Facts & Dive Bar Ingredients
As with most bars, the Dive Bar nutrition facts and Dive Bar ingredients vary with all the different flavors. Let’s look at one of the Dive Bar nutrition facts and ingredients below.

In all honesty, I loved each flavor. I got one bar of each flavor to try for my Dive Bar Nutrition review and I’m almost regretting that because I liked each one so much. Please send me a donation through PayPal as I’m going to go broke buying these. Heck, I don’t even need real food… I’m just going to eat these for every meal. (that last part is a joke, or was it?)
Because I loved these bars so much, I reached out to Dive Bar Nutrition to see if they would hook you up with a discount code or some type of savings so that you can try them for yourself. They were gracious enough to give you 20% off everything on their website (except for gift cards) if you use WEIKFITNESS at checkout (I’m not sure how long they’ll keep the discount code live).
